Saturday night I had a slumber party with Meliska, Jeannie, Pelo, and Mary Ann. We had a lot of fun eating takeaways (Zebro’s gatsbys) and ice cream, talking with Mary Floye via Skype, dancing and being very silly. Here’s a video of Jeannie, just after taking her medicines, arguing with Mary Ann about if there’s any left in the syringe. For non-Afrikaans speakers, “bietjie” (pr. “bickey”) means “little bit” and “klaar” means “finished.” You can also see the post-sleepover/pre-church mess in my house.
